About Salutary Reflexology
Welcome to Salutary Reflexology, the reflexology service to suit your every need in bringing out your inner well-being.
My Journey
Throughout my working career I’ve always supported people to help themselves in bringing out the best in their physical and emotional well-being. Working in the Healthcare profession, for the NHS alongside the breast and colorectal team, following on to Derbyshire county council, social services, was a challenging journey but one that gained me experience within the conventional ways of supporting people within their health care needs.
Whilst within the NHS and hearing from patients the benefits of reflexology whilst having treatments in Hospice centres, supporting them in living with cancer, sparked an interest within complementary therapies.
Years later I had the opportunity to follow a dream, I know it sounds cliché, but one I’d awaited to grasp, and my passion began within the complementary therapy field studying reflexology.
I’m passionate about providing a professional Reflexology service, giving a quality of care to promote well-being and helping others to help themselves in achieving this. Kerryann Hutchinson-Smith GJC CMR5 MAR PRM FFR MARR
Qualifications
I had chosen Jubilee college, as it was offering the highest level reflexology training within the UK to become a reflexologist, gaining my Centralia Reflexology practitioner Level 5 diploma Mastership. The Level 5 Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology is recognised by the NHS and other health associations throughout the UK, this meaning I can take on NHS referrals.
The course elements were:
– Anatomy
– Physiology and pathology
– Practical foot and hand reflexology
– Enhancing fertility and Maternity
– Cancer and Palliative care
Associations
Following this I also joined the Association of reflexologist and Professional reflexology, whom are both respected independent professional bodies for reflexology who provide support for their members and give the general public clear and up to date information. This meaning I have met the associations strict standards and abide by the associations code and practice, hold a nationally recognised qualification in reflexology, committed to continually develop my skills and knowledge and hold valid insurance. Being part of these associations also means you can claim back on most health insurance policies but make sure you check with your provider.
