My Journey

Kerryann Hutchinson-Smith is the dedicated founder of Salutary Reflexology, bringing a wealth of experience from her healthcare background with the NHS and Derbyshire County Council. Inspired by the profound benefits heard of reflexology practice in hospice settings, Kerryann pursued studies at Jubilee College to become a clinical reflexologist, achieving a Level 5 Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology, the highest recognised qualification in the UK.

As a member of the Association of Reflexologists and Professional Reflexology, she upholds the highest standards in her practice, continually enhancing her skills to provide exceptional care. Kerryann has gained many of different skills and techniques to deliver reflexology, including further studies on fertility, maternity, pain management, Stress and anxiety, limbic reflexology, Reflexology lymph drainage and many more, ensuring a holistic approach to well-being that empowers individuals to thrive physically and emotionally. Her passion for reflexology is matched by her commitment to helping others achieve optimal health and wellness through professional and personalised treatments.

I feel it is my duty as a reflexologist to provide you with a quality service and many ways to deliver this wonderful treatment.  I will continue in the development of my knowledge, as it’s important to keep up to date with new techniques and research.

Qualifications

I had chosen Jubilee college, as it was offering the highest level reflexology training within the UK to become a reflexologist, gaining my Centralia Reflexology practitioner Level 5 diploma Mastership.  The Level 5 Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology is recognised by the NHS and other health associations throughout the UK, this meaning I can take on NHS referrals.

The course elements were:
– Anatomy
– Physiology and pathology
– Practical foot and hand reflexology
– Enhancing fertility and Maternity
– Cancer and Palliative care

Associations

Following this I also joined the Association of reflexologist and Professional reflexology, whom are both respected independent professional bodies for reflexology who provide support for their members and give the general public clear and up to date information.  This meaning I have met the associations strict standards and abide by the associations code and practice, hold a nationally recognised qualification in reflexology, committed to continually develop my skills and knowledge and hold valid insurance.  Being part of these associations also means you can claim back on most health insurance policies but make sure you check with your provider.

Markeeta

Markeeta Shepherd is a dedicated Clinical Level 5 Reflexology graduate from Jubilee College, accredited by the Association of Reflexologists (AOR) and the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). Further studies in palliative care, nepip, and fertility/maternity reflexology, Markeeta is committed to continuous professional development to enhance her skills and techniques. 

Her interest in reflexology began with the therapeutic foot massages she provided to her father after his accident, sparking her fascination with the body’s ability to rejuvenate and restore itself. This interest was deepened by her experiences during a visit to Thailand, inspiring her to pursue a professional career in reflexology.

Markeeta’s practice is based on her belief in the body’s capacity to rejuvenate and maintain balance, both physically and emotionally. She is dedicated to assisting others in achieving a better state of wellness and balance, improving their quality of life through her practice in reflexology treatments.
